Sandy Cove

Sandy Cove is a 009 narrow gauge layout not based anywhere specific but does have a nod to the little trains of Wales. Being very much a “I like it so I do it” modeller it’s era is pretty mixed although you could say it’s a modern standards heritage railway.
The layout normally runs on DC and with standard plugs on all my controllers can be run off a phone app or traditional turn knob controller. With extensive track and points wiring can also run DCC with no modifications or indeed a mixture of both but not on the same track. For the track work there’s two distinctive routes, a roundy round section through the station and tunnel and an end-to-end between the fiddle yard and depot. The end-to-end has an auto shuttle installed so can run unassisted. A short section of 00 track allows the larger locos to deliver coal to the coal drop. A mixture of RTR and kit built rolling stock and locos are presented alongside any visiting friends stock.
